AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Hello! My name is Emily Jackson and I am the Chapter President of the Nu Omega chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at Northern Kentucky University. I started my AOII journey in the Fall semester of 2015. My first few weeks at NKU made it clear that Greek life was a great way to become involved on campus. Every orientation leader and student leader was involved in Greek life. I knew then that I wanted to go through recruitment. Back then I was only looking for the features of Greek life that I could put on job applications; leadership opportunities, higher GPA’s, and communication skills. Now I can see all the benefits that come with joining a sisterhood where you are a part of something bigger than yourself. You learn very quickly that AOII if not just for four years, it’s for life.
AOII’s international philanthropy is the AOII Foundation which helps support arthritis research and juvenile arthritis camps. We also host events to support the yellow ribbon foundation which helps military veterans. When we are not planning and putting on these events you can catch us at other Greek organization events, NKU sporting events, study tables in the library, or at local sushi restaurants. We have all found our home at NKU, and our hope is that you will be able to do the same, whether it is within Alpha Omicron Pi or one of the six other (wonderful) Panhellenic chapters on our campus. I am so happy you are considering going Greek and I hope to see you at recruitment!
